Distilled on Islay and released for the 2014 Feis Ile festival, Ardbeg Auriverdes is a uniquely crafted single malt. This expression gains its distinctive character from maturation in specially treated casks – barrels with custom-toasted heads designed to amplify rich coffee and mocha notes. These are then skillfully married with Ardbeg’s classic spirit, matured in first and second-fill Bourbon barrels, creating a complex and balanced profile. The result is a powerful yet nuanced whisky, offering a captivating interplay of smoky peat, sweet chocolate, and a lingering warmth at 49.9% ABV.
