Hailing from Islay's north east coast, Bunnahabhain is a distillery that embodies the island's rugged charm. Constructed in 1881, its massive courtyard and stills are hallmarks of its impressive size and scope. With its light style of malt, Bunnahabhain's whisky is characterized by its low fill levels and generous amount of available copper, resulting in a smooth and approachable spirit. Aged in ex-Sherry casks, the whisky develops a sumptuous sweet richness, while around 20% of production is heavily peated for a range of bottlings.
