From its founding in 1815, The Ardbeg distillery has undergone numerous transformations, but it wasn't until 1997 that Glenmorangie's acquisition brought stability. This has allowed the distillery to refine its signature style of balancing tarry smoke with citrus sweetness and oily mouthfeel. Perpetuum is a unique expression created by Dr Bill Lumsden in celebration of the distillery's bicentenary, blending old, young, and mature whiskies aged in bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled at 49.2% ABV in 2015, this exclusive release showcases the versatility of Ardbeg's craftsmanship.
