Ardnahoe Distillery stands as Islay's newest addition to the island's legendary whisky-making heritage, commencing distillation in 2018 on the rugged northeast coastline near Port Askaig. With its name translating to "height of the hollow" in Gaelic, the distillery occupies a spectacular location overlooking the Sound of Islay towards the Paps of Jura. Ardnahoe is dedicated to producing traditional heavily peated Islay single malt, honouring time-tested methods while bringing a fresh perspective to the island's distinctive whisky style. This distinguished 6 year old single cask, distilled in June 2019 and matured in cask no.73, has been carefully selected by the distillery manager as an exemplary representation of Ardnahoe's craft.
