The branding of ‘As We Get It’ has been going since the 1970s and has been producing outstanding single cask expressions ever since produced by Ian Macleod Distillers. This bottle of “As We Get It” is from an undisclosed distillery in the Scottish Highlands. The name also suggests that the whisky is of cask strength and as such, is of very high alcohol content. A dash of water is recommended to help open up the flavours and make this spirit more palatable. Once opened the aromas of coffee, sherry, leather and forest fruit will greet you, the palate is cranberry, red apple, liquorice, and sherry with a medium long finish of vanilla, liquorice and oak.
