This Secret Stills low lands is described as being a triple distilled at the foot of the Kilpatrick hills overlooking the Clyde river, which of course is saying that this cask from the secret stills is no other than from the Auchentoshan distillery. Also referred to as ‘Glasgow’s Malt Whisky’ due to its proximity to the city of Glasgow, Auchentoshan Whisky is known for its smooth and delicate tastes making it a good whisky for beginners but can also be complex for the experienced drinker. Once opened the aromas of dark chocolate, fresh cut grass, smoked fruit and a hint of fresh mint meet your nose, the palate is citrus sweet, ground pepper, and vanilla, with a long finish of warm smoke, oak and vanilla.
