About this whisky
- Region:
Auchroisk 30 Year Old, distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2012, represents a rare glimpse into a Speyside distillery historically dedicated to blending whiskies like J&B. This limited edition single malt, one of only 2976 bottles, showcases Auchroisk’s character after three decades of maturation in American and European oak refill casks. The whisky benefits from a pioneering cask finishing process – initially matured in bourbon barrels for ten years before a two-year transfer to sherry casks – resulting in a complex and layered flavour profile. Named for the Gaelic ‘ford across the red stream’, this 54.7% ABV expression is the oldest Auchroisk ever released, offering a uniquely rich and robust taste of Speyside.
