Balcones is a single malt whisky distilled in Texas and matured in a tequila cask. This is the very first independent bottling from That Boutique-y Whisky Company. Aromas of plums emerge from the glass, with a buttery toffee backbone and a faint, delicate smoky undertone. The palate evokes slightly burnt crème brûlée, with a generous helping of peppery spices and drying oak among the baking spices.
