Starting in 1827 as a small grocer in Edinburgh George Ballentine was supplying whiskies to his customers, over the years his business expanded and he was blending whiskies and exporting his blends all over the world. The Ballantine brand is one of the highest selling scotch whisky today. This bottle of Ballantine Celebration commemorates the visit of Of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the 4th of July 2003. The aromas of tropical fruits, sherry and vanilla emanate from the spirit, the palate keeps the sherry notes and vanilla but also brings some walnuts with a short finish of vanilla and condensed milk.
