Born in the heart of Speyside, The Balvenie 15 Year Old Madeira Cask showcases a fascinating history of flavour exchange. Inspired by the age-old practice of returning wine casks from global voyages, Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE finished this single malt in casks previously holding Madeira wine. This process imparts a distinctive sweetness, building upon the whisky’s initial 15 years of maturation in American Oak – revealing notes of warm honey, vanilla, and rich dried fruit. The result is a complex and beautifully balanced whisky with a uniquely vibrant character.
