Balvenie 18 Year Old Pedro Ximenez Cask

Balvenie is situated in Dufftown, Scotland, next door to its sister distillery Glenfiddich, yet produces a sweeter, more honeyed new make spirit due to its unique style. Matured for 18 years in American oak barrels and finished in Pedro Ximenez Sherry butts, this whisky boasts a rich fusion of sweet lavender, mandarin, fig, and subtle clove. With an ABV of 48.7%, the Doublewood expression is a pioneering example of cask "finishing". Balvenie remains one of the few remaining distilleries to use onsite maltings, although only for a small percentage of its requirements. This complex whisky offers a unique taste experience.
