Colourful Character was distilled in September of 2009 and matured in a first fill ex-bourbon barrel for 8 years. It holds a great vegetal character with sweetness and nutty hints. Driven by savoury flavours, this particular edition is full with character and might take its time to warm up your palate, but it sure is worth the try. Although being marketed as Young & Spritely by the SMWS, this whisky comes with deep soul and is not necessarily a ‘starter whisky’.
