About this whisky
- Region:
Distilled in 1977 at the historic Bruichladdich Distillery on the windswept Isle of Islay, this 32-year-old single malt represents a rare expression of the distillery’s unpeated spirit. Built in 1881, Bruichladdich has long been favoured by locals for its uniquely floral and fruit-forward character, diverging from the typically smoky Islay profile. Matured for over three decades in carefully selected casks, this bottling – from the second release of the Bruichladdich DNA series – offers a complex palate with notes of ripe orchard fruits, gentle spice, and a lingering sweetness. Bottled at cask strength (47.4% ABV) in September 2010, it delivers the full intensity of a bygone era of Islay whisky making.
