From the remote northeast coast of Islay, this Bunnahabhain was distilled in 1997 and matured for two decades to reveal a uniquely rich character. Originally built as a self-sufficient island community, Bunnahabhain distillery traditionally favors a lighter malt spirit, enhanced by extensive aging in ex-Sherry casks. This particular expression gains further complexity through a finishing period in a Palo Cortado Sherry cask, imparting notes of dried fruit and subtle spice. Bottled at 54.9% ABV, it offers a sumptuous and warming taste of Islay’s coastal heritage.
