About this whisky
- Region:
Bunnahabhain Distillery, situated on Islay's remote north east coast, was founded in 1881 by William Robertson in partnership with Greenlees Bros. The distillery is known for its light style of malt, crafted using large stills with low fill levels and a significant amount of available copper. Aged in ex-Sherry casks, this whisky develops a sumptuous sweet richness. This particular bottle was distilled in 2005, aged to perfection in a Palo Cortado Sherry Cask before being bottled at 55.5% ABV in 2018.
