Cardhu 12 Year Old boasts a rich history, originating in the Speyside region of Scotland where illicit distilling took place as early as 1814, before becoming the first distillery acquired by John Walker & Sons in 1893. This single malt whisky offers a delicate and fruity character, with notes of pear and honey balanced by a subtle spice. Once briefly blended, Cardhu was thankfully returned to its original single malt form in 2005, revealing a smooth and approachable flavour profile favoured particularly in France and Spain. At 40% ABV, it presents a beautifully balanced and rewarding taste of Speyside tradition.
