Empire Rye 2 Year Old Batch 1 TBWC

This is a 2-year-old dram from New York-based collective Empire Rye, bottled independently by That Boutique-y Whisky Company at 50% ABV. The nose is dense and complex, offering bananas caramelised in a toffee syrup, warm rye toast, roasted peanuts and dried oranges. The palate opens to a creamy mouthfeel, which coats the mouth with rich flavours such as over-ripe bananas spread on rye bread toast and hints of orange marmalade.
