Distilled in September 1990, this GlenDronach represents a legacy begun in 1826 by James Allardice, crafting what he termed “Guid GlenDronach” single malt. Matured for 23 years in a single Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon (cask #1243), this whisky embodies the distillery’s renowned Sherry influence. Bottled in October 2014 at 50.6% ABV, it delivers a rich and intensely flavored experience, showcasing dark fruit notes and a lingering sweetness characteristic of the PX sherry cask. As one of only 679 bottles from this cask, and bottle number 18, it offers a rare taste of GlenDronach’s history and masterful distillation.
