Glenfarclas 175th Anniversary

Glenfarclas is one of the few remaining family run distilleries that has been in the Grant family since its founding in 1836 though it is believed to be operating since as far back as 1791 without a license. Glenfarclas translates as the the ‘Vally of Green Grass’ and is situated in the Speyside region in the northeastern side of Scotland where rolling hills and natural beauty are abundant. This bottle is to mark the 175 anniversary of the Glenfarclas distillery in 2011, it is a limited edition release with only 6000 bottles released. Once opened you can expect the aromas of marzipan, apple, cinnamon and yoghurt, the palate is cinnamon, leather, cereal, and oak with a medium length finish of ginger, apple, lemon and oak.
