Glenfiddich Is one of the single malt pioneers, being the first to market their single malt in 1963, The cask strength in this bottling does not mean it is of a single cask but rather a strength that is typically found in a whisky that has matured 15 years, and this allows the drinker to add water to the amount that suits them for the full impact of taste they desire. Upon opening this bottle the whiff of malt, pineapple and honey will greet you followed by chocolate and vanilla, the palate is slightly salty, with oak, vanilla and some black peppercorns, a medium long finish of liquorice, vanilla, oak and black peppercorns.
