Glenglassaugh 2008 The First Cask

This single malt Scotch whisky is from Glenglassaugh Distillery, which was revived in 2008 after a 22-year hiatus. It has been aged for nearly three years in two first-fill sherry casks (PX and Palo Cortado) before being transferred back into the original refill butt for an additional three months of maturation. The whisky is bottled at its natural colour and full strength, without chill filtration, yielding a rich, complex flavour profile with notes of dried fruits, spices, and hints of oakiness.
