The Hakushu Distillery is located in the southern Japanese Alps on the island of Honshu. This whisky is considered rare and a limited release, as it is only available for purchase at the Hakushu Distillery in Japan. Hakushu Distillery whisky is known for its unique flavour profile, influenced by the distillery's location in a pristine natural environment. The whisky is distilled using water from the nearby Ojira River and aged in a combination of American and Japanese oak casks, giving it a complex and balanced flavour. This exclusive distillery expression is noted as having the aromas of vanilla, milk chocolate, apricots and honey, the palate is caramelized sugar, toasted oak, smoke and hazelnuts, with a short finish of caramel, vanilla sugar, oak and spice.
