Aged in bourbon casks and American oak sherry casks, this expression showcases an unusually sweet character, with notes of honey from the peat and a rich malty flavour profile. Born in Iceland around AD970, Leif Eriksson navigated the treacherous waters of the North Atlantic to establish settlements in Labrador and Newfoundland, earning him the nickname 'Leif the Lucky'. Bottled at 40% ABV in 2011, this single malt is a testament to the island's rich Viking heritage.
