Kavalan – Distillery Reserve (Peaty Cask)

This Kavalan Distillers Reserve Peaty Cask is a rare Taiwanese single malt whisky at 53.2% strength. One of its bottles won Malt Maniacs Premium Best Peated Whisky of 2014. The whisky was only available at the distillery and the Kavalan showrooms, the Kavalan Distillery is owned by the King Car Group and is located in Yuanshan Township, Yilan County, Taiwan. The distillery is named after the indigenous Kavalan people, originally inhabited the Kabalan Plain of today’s Yilan County. This Distillery Reserve, cask strength was distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2015.
