Hailing from Islay's south coast, Laphroaig was founded in 1815 by brothers from the Johnston family. This iconic whisky is characterised by its intense peaty and smoky flavours, with a rich, complex taste profile that may require some acquired taste. Awarded the Royal Warrant in 1994 by the Prince of Wales, it's one of Scotland's most renowned distilleries, still utilising traditional floor maltings to this day.
