Laphroaig, a distillery on Scotland's Islay island, was founded in 1815 by two brothers from the Johnston family. This whisky, named after its location, translates to "broad hollow by the bay". Characterized by intense peaty and smoky flavours, Laphroaig is often considered an acquired taste due to its robust and rich profile. Distilled at cask strength, this 12 Year Old expression is specially selected from the distillery's own floor maltings.
