Laphroaig – Cairdeas (2014)

From the heart of Islay, Laphroaig’s 2014 Cairdeas—meaning “friendship” in Gaelic—is a special bottling created for the Feis Ile festival. This unique expression showcases Laphroaig’s signature smoky character, enriched by a double maturation process. Initially matured in bourbon barrels, the whisky is then finished in Amontillado-seasoned hogsheads, imparting notes of dried fruit and subtle spice. The result is a complex and inviting dram, offering a harmonious balance of peat, sweetness, and a lingering warmth.
