Born on Islay’s rugged south coast in 1815, Laphroaig draws its name – meaning ‘the broad hollow by the bay’ – from the land itself. This 2018 Feis Ile edition, Cairdeas Fino Cask, showcases Laphroaig’s signature intensely peaty and smoky character, uniquely matured in first-fill bourbon barrels and finished in Fino Sherry casks. The result is a rich and complex single malt, offering a powerful flavour profile that has captivated discerning drinkers for generations – even earning favour with the Prince of Wales. Bottled at 51.8% ABV, this whisky embodies the traditional Islay spirit, crafted at one of the last distilleries still using floor maltings.
