About this whisky
  • Region:
Lindores Abbey Distillery, located in Fife, Scotland, has resurrected whisky production with its inaugural single malt release in 2021. Crafted in the traditional light, lowland style, this whisky boasts a delicate character, distilled using a combination of wine barriques, bourbon barrels, and sherry butts. The liquid's subtle nuances are reminiscent of Lindores Abbey's rich history, dating back to 1494 when Friar John Cor was commissioned by King James IV to produce Aqua Vitae at the Tironensian monastery. Bottled at a generous 46% ABV, this limited release is one of only 12,750 produced.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturaly: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from auctions, ballots, and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.

Every time we'll add new rare spirit to our website, we'll update you in the email
