The Macallan distillery, founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, has created a whisky that embodies the spirit of Hogmanay celebrations with its new limited edition release. Crafted using First-Fill American Bourbon Barrels and American Oak Sherry Casks, this expression features a rich, buttery flavour profile reminiscent of traditional Scottish shortbread. The packaging design takes inspiration from fire rituals associated with Hogmanay and "first footing" traditions, evoking the warmth and hospitality that defines Scotland's New Year celebrations.
