The Macallan distillery, founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, is renowned for its Six Pillars of excellence. This whisky is crafted from a selection of exceptionally high proportion first fill Sherry casks, personally handpicked by the Whisky Maker from less than 1% of those maturing at the distillery. Aged to perfection, it boasts rich and complex flavours with notes of vanilla, dark chocolate, and dried fruit, characteristic of its origins in Speyside, Scotland. With an ABV of 43%, this whisky is a masterclass in balance and depth.
