About this whisky
- Malt type: Single Malt
- Region: Speyside
Miltonduff was built in 1824 in the Spey region of Scotland not far from the Black burn. The legend has it that a Benedictine monk from the nearby Pluscarden Abby invoked a blessing on the Black burn which has since transformed the waters into heavenly and life giving. The same waters are still being used today to distil the spirits of Miltonduff as with this 12 year old which has sweet floral notes on the nose with some gentle fruits, The palate is smooth with summer fruit and vanilla and undertones of orange which is long and sweet but becomes dry and just that little spicy orange. A rounded dram that needs nothing else.
