This is the second batch of rye from the New York Distilling Company, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Rye Company. The dram appears mellow and laid back at first, with hints of black pepper, vanilla and sawdust. Hints of grass and hay are noticeable as well. On the palate, it is full-bodied but very smooth, featuring toasted oak, cinnamon, vanilla and honey glazed apples.
