This 5-year-old expression, matured near Port Charlotte, delivers a powerful smoky experience balanced with surprising delicacy – an “iron fist in a velvet glove.” Boasting a phenol level of 167ppm, it presents a robust and complex flavour profile, dominated by peat smoke yet revealing underlying sweetness. Bottled at cask strength (57% ABV), Octomore 06.1 offers a truly immersive taste of Islay’s boldest spirit.
