This is a 5-year-old single barrel straight rye whiskey from Kentucky`s Peerless Distilling Co. The casks for this expression are hand-picked by head distiller Caleb Kilburn, selected for their unique character. The nose opens to apple jam, caramelised nuts, a dusting of cinnamon, plus some toasted rye bread. As for the palate, there are notes of fresh hay and peppery oak, alongside silky caramel and more fresh bread.
