Excellent peated single malt from the Bruichladdich distillery, released under the Port Charlotte name and independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. This one was aged for 13 years and given a label showing off the five molecules that all peated whisky fans worship – Phenol, O-Cresol, M-Cresol, P-Cresol and Guaiacol. These five catchily-named molecules make up the phenolic compounds in peated whisky, making it smoky. Good job, molecules!
