Port Charlotte 2004 is a powerfully elegant single malt from Bruichladdich, born from a heavily peated spirit – around 40ppm – and distilled in tall, graceful stills. This 18-year-old whisky pays homage to the historic Lochindaal distillery, once known as Port Charlotte, which ceased production in 1929. Matured in a sherry hogshead and bottled in 2022 at 51.3% ABV, it delivers a rich and complex character. Expect a robust, smoky profile balanced with the sweet influence of sherry cask maturation, resulting in a deeply satisfying and memorable taste. This is a limited release, with only 143 bottles drawn from the cask.
