This is the 3rd release of Port Charlotte, which was bottled in 2008 after a maturation period of 7 years. The nose has a maritime character, with some smoke, light sweetness, apples, pears, and some spicy undertones. On the palate, the peaty flavour dominates, accompanied by dark warm molasses with hints of dates and bitter chocolate.
