About this whisky
- Region:
Port Charlotte PMC:01 is a powerfully elegant single malt, born from heavily peated barley – around 40ppm – and distilled in Bruichladdich’s unique tall stills. This 9-year-old expression pays homage to the historic Lochindaal distillery, once known as Port Charlotte, which ceased production in 1929, representing the first spirit distilled by Murray McDavid in 2001. Expect a robust character with a complex interplay of smoke and refined spirit, bottled at a commanding 54.5% ABV. The result is a whisky offering a rich and memorable taste of Islay’s heritage, crafted with both strength and finesse.
