About this whisky
- Region:
Distilled in March 1978, this St. Magdalene is a rare single malt from a historic Lowland distillery, originally known as Linlithgow and almost exclusively used for blending. Closed in 1983 and sadly demolished, St. Magdalene’s spirit is now highly sought after, with very few official bottlings ever released. This 20-year-old expression, matured in a single refill European oak cask, offers a glimpse into a lost character – expect a delicate yet complex whisky with notes of fruit and subtle oak influence. Bottled in 1998 to commemorate a century at 64 Waterloo Street, Glasgow, this is a poignant reminder of a bygone era of Scottish distilling.
