About this whisky
- Region:
Talisker's rich heritage dates back to 1830 when it was founded by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill. This iconic whisky is named after the Gaelic name for Port on the Isle of Skye, reflecting its rugged and windswept origins. Aged in a combination of American and European Oak refill casks as well as deeply charred ones, Talisker then undergoes an additional layer of complexity from finishing in rich Port casks. This distinctive whisky boasts a full-bodied taste profile with notes of sea salt, peppery spices, and dark chocolate undertones, reflecting its Hebridean roots and making it a standout expression within the Glenbotal collection.
