Ardberg Smoketrails

Ardbeg distillery is an Islay Island distillery. The distilleries on the Isle of Islay are so unique they have their very own distinction from other Island whiskies, the coastline is dotted with names such as Lagavulin and Bruichladdich. The first in the new Smoketrails series aged in Manzanilla casks are only available from the distillery visitor centre and in duty frees around the world. The concept behind the series is to mature Ardbeg smokey flavoured whisky in casks from around the world and to offer the results to travellers on their journey around the world. The aroma of red wine, vanilla, grapefruit and Brazil nuts, the palate is smokey, dark chocolate, hazelnut and oak with a short finish of fennel, vanilla, oak, and smoke. I wonder what will be next in the series.
