Arran – Lochranza Founders Reserve

Lochranza distillery produces blended and single malt whiskies, their single malt is named after the Island of Arran on which it is situated and the blended whisky is named Lochranza after the distillery and town in which it is situated. Still, one of the few independent distilleries out there it's worth having a look at what they can offer. With the founder's reserve you can expect whiffs of buttered toast, citrus and sherry oak, on the palate the sherry becomes more distinguished, along with vanilla, caramel and a gentle oak which finishes medium long with fennel and a slight soft metallic edge, well rounded and very finesse.
