About this whisky
- Malt type: Single Malt
- Region: Scotland
Bruichladdich has always been known as the whisky that the locals of Islay drink, and surprisingly and un characteristically to the Islay taste, it is not smoky but rather sweet and floral. To mark the distillery’s centenary in 1981 Bruichladdich commissioned a specially shaped decanter with stopper and box and bottled a 15 year old whisky matured in sherry casks. This whisky hits you with fresh soft fruit on the nose. The palate is gentle cinnamon, peach and other summer fruits with a lengthily finish of cinnamon which abruptly ends with dryness. This decanter will look good on any collection shelf.
