Bruichladdich (pronounced as “brook-laddie”) is situated on the Rhinns of Islay which is a peninsula on the western part of the isle of Islay. Bruichladdich is well known as the smoother of the Islay whiskies which are better known for their smoky and peaty character. The Waves release is known for the sea breeze embodied within the whisky itself, upon opening the bottle the aromas of sea spray, vanilla, peat and a slightly smokey undertone, the palate is peppery, juniper, marzipan and sea salt with a medium long finish of liquorice and smoke.
