About this whisky
- Malt type: Single Malt
- Region: Speyside
Glenfiddich is one of the single malt pioneers, being the first to market their single malt in 1963, And has since advanced, played and tweaked the art of bottling some of the best single malts out there. This expression is one of a three part decanter series of Scottish Royalty, Robert the Bruce, Mary Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie. Charles Edward Stuart, also known as Bonnie Prince Charlie or the Young Pretender, was a claimant to the British throne during the 18th century. He led the Jacobite uprising of 1745, seeking to restore the exiled Stuart dynasty to the throne of Great Britain and Ireland. Once opened the aroma of toasted oak meets your nose, followed by barley, lemon peel and pear, the palate is vanilla, malt, oak and grapes, with a short finish of hazelnut, oak and vanilla.
