A distinguished expression from the renowned Glenmorangie Distillery, this 15-year-old single malt is a testament to the art of patient maturation. Carefully aged in American white oak bourbon casks, it delivers a smooth, well-rounded profile with layers of honey, vanilla, dried fruit, and subtle spice.
Bottled at 43% ABV, this Highland malt offers a refined balance of sweetness and oak influence, making it an elegant choice for both seasoned whisky lovers and those new to single malts. Presented in a 700ml bottle, this release was bottled on September 10, 2009.
A classic representation of Glenmorangie’s craftsmanship, the 15-Year-Old is perfect for savoring neat or with a drop of water to unveil its delicate complexity.

Historical Context
Before the 2007 brand refresh, Glenmorangie ran a rather elegant ladder: 10 year old, 15 year old, various wood finishes, and 18. The 15 sat right in the middle and was often described as “a bigger 10” – same fragrant, citrus-and-honey Glenmorangie DNA but with more oak depth from time in new wood. When the range was simplified, the 15 was dropped and became one of those bottles people later missed. That is why specialist sites now label it “sadly discontinued” and collectors put it alongside the old Burgundy/Sherry/Madeira finishes.

Liquid Profile (from retailer/critic descriptions)
Nose: Honey, vanilla, orange blossom, almond, gentle oak spice.

Finish: Medium-long, drying oak and sweet malt.
With water: A splash will bring out citrus and almond further.
Distillery/Bottler Snapshot
Glenmorangie is famed for high-cut, very fruity spirit and for finishing/maturation innovation. The 15-year-old shows that same spirit after a long stay in American oak and then in fresher wood, so it is a nice bridge between the light 10 and the more opulent 18.
