Lindores Abbey Distillery revives a centuries-old tradition of Scottish whisky making, building upon a site with documented spirit production dating back to 1494. Located in Newburgh, Fife, the distillery draws inspiration from its historic Tironensian Abbey origins, crafting a spirit true to the light, delicate style of the Lowlands. Matured exclusively in STR (Shave, Toast, Rechar) wine barriques, this whisky offers a complex character with notes of fruit and spice. At 49.4% ABV, it presents a rich and flavourful experience, echoing the legacy of Friar John Cor’s ‘Aqua Vitae’ created for King James IV.
