The Macallan Edition series combines a selection of distilling in various oak casks embodying the mastery of whisky making which has been carried out on the Macallan estate since 1824. Every year a new edition combining different set of casks. Edition no. 4 is copper in colour and comes in a green label and box, the notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, apple and dry oak greet your nose. Oak, nutmeg, cloves and orange on the palate to begin only to have a long lasting end of sugary Oak and a whiff of smoke. Complex and intriguing as its combination of cask distilling.
