Historical Context
Harmony Collection started in 2021 as an annual Macallan series focused on sustainability and a flavour pairing. The inaugural Rich Cacao edition was created after whisky maker Polly Logan visited Casa Cacao in Girona to work with chocolatier Jordi Roca, then built a Macallan from casks that emphasise dark chocolate notes. The packaging was part of the story: it uses discarded cacao husks. Because it was the first in the series and because Macallan limiteds were particularly hot in 2021-2022, secondary prices ran well above original RRP and have stayed high, especially for 75cl US imports.
